Mama’s Cancer Journey

The footage was show by her daughter, Anita Shontel Woodley in 1998. It was for a freshman Journalism college class assignment. This mini documentary captures the behind-the scenes health care of her mama, Mable Marie Pierce-Glenn, at 47 years old. Mable was given 2 months to live with breast cancer as it spread from her breast to her bones and organs over a 10 year period. Five of the years were untreated. Join us for this journey by watching this promise Anita made to her mama. A promise to share her story living with breast cancer. Their hope is that by sharing this educational video someone’s life will be spared from this disease. May no one ever be too afraid to return to the doctor for treatment.
